Why Do A 30 Day Yoga Challenge?

Hello all of you beautiful Yogi's!! On Monday October 4th I am starting a personal 30 day yoga challenge and I would LOVE you to join me.

What is my WHY? Ask yourself the same question. What is YOUR why?

I have multiple reasons for doing this and I will share a few. I invite you to write down your what and your why as well.

1. I LOVE how yoga makes me FEEL!

Before becoming a yoga teacher I was on my mat 5-7 days a week taking class. I would glow all day long, I loved starting my day with yoga so much I decided to become a yoga teacher. Since being a teacher my personal practice has suffered and I want to make a commitment to get back on my mat for my own practice, my own radiance, my own clarity and my own soul.

2. Creating a consistent healthy habit.

When something becomes habit it becomes less effort. It becomes a part of your daily routine, something you do naturally. Making the commitment to 30 days of ANYTHING will help you develop a habit. Make the future easier on you.

3. I want to be AND have accountability buddies.

Just like having a gym buddy, accountability from others helps to keep you motivated and focused. On those days you want to skip or give up your community is there to lean on. Let me be your accountability buddy and please be willing to be mine!

4. Yoga, being active is FUN!

I love to move my body, it helps me to manage my stress, anxiety and other emotions while offering clarity, peace and joy. To me being active is just fun. This isn't necessarily just a yoga challenge, it's really about being INTENTIONALLY ACTIVE for 30 days, whatever that commitment looks like to you. Let's have fun with it. Maybe you try something new and fall in love!

5. I am leaning into what I will learn that I am not aware of.

I am going to let this commitment blossom into whatever it is meant to be. I am trusting that there are many benefits I am aware of there is magic in what I don't know too. Embracing and being aware of the intentional unknowns helps me to lean into the bigger unknowns and uncertainty in my life.

I would love to have you join me!! I am thinking about setting up a group text to send out messages, invites, and links to activities to help you stay committed. Send me a message if you want to join of have any questions.

The Rules

Your commitment is your commitment, maybe you commit to 2 yoga classes per week and that is YOUR 30 day challenge. Maybe you commit to swimming 50 laps once a week and doing 3 yoga classes, that's perfect too. Maybe it's kickboxing. This is not exclusive to YOGA ONLY. You decide, it's about your commitment, getting support and experiencing the benefits while coming together.

Ask for support if you need it! Support can look like making commitments to another and not letting the other back out, it can look like asking for a link to an at home workout, to meet for a workout or just have a conversation to unpack any challenges that are coming up for you. Support is key and let’s reach out to on an other… ENOUGH SEPARATION AND SECLUSION! LET’S UNITE!

Be gentle with yourself along the way. Doing hard things helps us to grow and growth can be stressful. Lean in to the difficulties of the commitment and stick to it! You can do hard things, I promise.

I will post more next week and get us all organized. Let's make October the BEST month!
